''The Girl on the Train'' is an upcoming American thriller film directed by Tate Taylor and written by Erin Cressida Wilson, based on Paula Hawkins' 2015 debut novel of the same name. The film stars Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett, Justin Theroux, Luke Evans, and Édgar Ramírez. Principal photography began on November 4, 2015 in New York City. The film will be released on October 7, 2016 by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
== Plot ==
Rachel Watson, an alcoholic troubled woman whose husband left her for his mistress, witnesses a murder and starts to realize that she may have been involved in the crime.
